Woman dies after becoming impaled on steel railing

Gardaí are today appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 20s died in Limerick overnight after becoming impaled on a steel railing.

It is believed the woman fell onto the railing from an upstairs window of an apartment on Clare Street, shortly after midnight.
