The Health Minister Mary Harney has said the product 'whack' on sale in headshops doesn't need to be banned as its sale requires a medicinal licence.

The Health Minister Mary Harney has said the product 'whack' on sale in headshops doesn't need to be banned as its sale requires a medicinal licence.

Ms Harney has also told the Dáil that Britain is also looking at new "catch-all" legislation - similar to the type being introduced here - which will ban all psychoactive substances.

The Minister said the Irish Medicines Board is now removing some products from the shelves of headshops.
