Calelly invited to explain expenses in public
Fianna Fáil Senator Ivor Calelly has been invited to explain his expenses in public next week.
The Seanad Committee on members interests, which normally holds all discussions in private, decided on the move as part of a full investigation.
They are examining how the Senator, whose political base is in North Dublin, claimed €83,000 during the past three years, using an address in Bantry in West Cork.
