Five Limerick men have lost a bid to bring an appeal against their convictions for the murder of crime boss Kieran Keane to the Supreme Court.

The five were found guilty of killing the 36-year-old on January 29, 2003, and of the attempted murder of his nephew, Owen Treacy, who was stabbed 17 times, on the same day.
