Stud chief to appear before Oireachtas committee

The Chief Executive of the Irish National Stud is to appear before an Oireachtas Committee today to discuss recent spending revelations.

John Osbourne will be questioned by members of the Agriculture Committee over the lavish expenses incurred by the semi-state body's former boss John Clarke.

Mr Clarke and his wife Monica ran up a bill of €800,000 on flights, travel and accommodation - between 2002 and 2010.
