Gardaí investigate 60-year-old woman's death

Gardaí are investigating the death of a woman in her 60's, who was struck by a car yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened when the vehicle was being reversed in the driveway of a house in Tiernahinch, in Clones, County Monaghan at about 4pm.

It is understood the woman became trapped between the vehicle and a wall, suffering serious injuries.

She was taken to hospital for treatment but later died.
