Probes launched into paramedic accident
Three separate investigations have been launched into the death of a paramedic in Co Cavan yesterday.
It is understood the 43-year-old man fell from an anbulance while treating a patient at Beghay Stradone at3.50pm yesterday afternoon.
GardaÃ, the HSE and the Health and Safety Authority are all investigating this incident.
Reports suggest the side door of the ambulance opened during a patient transfer near Stradone yesterday afternoon and the 43-year-old fell out.
The paramedic was brought to Cavan General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He has not yet been named but is believed to be from County Cavan.
The road was closed for a time for a technical examination but has since reopened.
