Committee to further probe Callely expenses

A standards watchdog today said there was enough evidence on controversial expenses claims by Senator Ivor Callely to warrant an inquiry.

The Fianna Fail representative’s future in the Seanad was under increasing threat after two members of the public complained about his lavish €81,000 travel and overnight costs.
