A taxi driver who came to the aid of a supposedly injured man was lured into a trap, police in Belfast said today.

The female driver was hijacked on the Glen Road in west Belfast at around 2.30am, after she stopped to help a man lying on the ground.

When she wound her window down to check on the man, he got up and threatened her with a screwdriver.

Another man appeared and the driver was ordered out of her car. Both men drove off in the vehicle, which has not yet been recovered.
