Car crashes kill two men in their 20s

Two men in their twenties have died in road crashes.

One man died in a single-vehicle accident between Ballinastraw and Monamolin in Co Wexord shortly before 1am this morning.

The road is closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.

The deceased is understood to be from Co Wexford.

Elsewhere, a 24-year-old man has died in a road crash in Co Cork.

The single-car accident happened at Killeady, Crossbarry, at around 3am this morning.

A male passenger in his 30s is being treated for serious injuries.

The Crossbarry to Halfway Road has been closed off and diversions are in place.
