Court charges man in connection with Limerick shooting
A man has been charged before a special court sitting in Limerick in connection with the shooting of Daniel Phillips in the city last Monday night.
Mr Phillips was shot in the head as he sat in a parked car in St John's Square and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
At Limerick District Court this evening, 28-year old Shane Mason of Sean Heuston Place, Limerick, was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.
Gardaí say further charges may be brought against the accused.
Mr Mason was remanded in custody to appear in court again on June 3.
