Body found in hunt for boating accident man

A body believed to be that of a man feared dead in a boating accident was found today – the day he was due to get married.

Graeme Nixon, 29, has been missing since the vessel overturned in Larne Lough off the Co Antrim coast a fortnight ago.

His devastated fiancee Katrina Dobbin, who was told about the tragedy while on her hen do, has maintained an agonising vigil on the shoreline every day since.

Police said divers had recovered a male body thought to be her partner.

Mr Nixon was picking whelks with his friend John Kyle when they got into difficulties.

Mr Kyle, who was due to be best man at the wedding, managed to swim to the shore but Mr Nixon was last seen clinging to the boat.
