Shell to Sea campaigners chained to stairwells in Govt office

Four Shell to Sea campaigners have chained themselves to the stairwells inside the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources in Dublin.

The group is opposed to plans by Shell to lay a gas pipe off the coast of Mayo.

The group is protesting in solidarity with Pat O’Donnell, a Shell to Sea campaigner who is serving a seven-month sentence for breach of the peace and obstructing a garda.
