12-year sentence for man who stabbed man in front of wife

A chronic drug addict who forced his way into a family home and stabbed a man in front of his wife has been given a 12-year sentence for this offence as well as a spate of armed robberies and storing explosives for a criminal.

Mark Russell (aged 29) forced his way past Mrs Elaine Wisdom, swung his Stanley knife at her as she tried to stop him coming in her front door and slashed Mr Michael Wisdom multiple times when he got involved in the struggle.
