New information resource for young people

A new resource pack is being launched today to highlight rights and entitlements for young people.

The resource is developed as an eight- to 10 week programme aimed at Transition Year students or less formal youth groups.

The pack, developed by the Citizens Information Board, informs students about their rights in the key areas of shopping, work, school, home, leaving home and travel & transport.

Children's Ombudsman Emily Logan praised the resource as fulfilling a vital role.
