A Drogheda man is to be jailed for trying to rob a 72-year-old man in his home, three years after he was jailed for robbing the same man.

A Drogheda man is to be jailed for trying to rob a 72-year-old man in his home, three years after he was jailed for robbing the same man.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that Peter Cruise (aged 25) had previously been given a six year sentence for breaking into the man’s home but had the last three years suspended. He told gardaí he targeted the man again because he “wanted to get noticed.”
