O'Reilly named as next Bishop of Killaloe

Pope Benedict has announced that Cork native Fr. Kieran O'Reilly is to replace Dr Willie Walshe as the next Bishop of Killaloe.

The 57-year-old, who is the Superior General of the Society of African Missions and is currently based in Rome, isn't expected to take up the position for a number of months.
