Post mortem due on man's body found in field
A post-mortem examination will be carried out today on the badly-decomposed remains of a man found in a field.
The body was discovered in a drain on farmland near Rathfeigh, Co Meath at about 3pm yesterday.
Gardaí said it was not known how long the body may have been there and the man has not been identified.
The area around the drain was sealed off.
The Deputy State Pathologist attended the scene and further forensic tests will be carried out later.
