Investigation to determine if any Irish aboard Libya plane
An investigation is underway to establish if any Irish citizens were on board a plane which crashed in Libya this morning.
The Irish Ambassador to Italy, who has responsibility for North Africa, is in the capital Tripoli where the aircraft came down.
An eight-year-old Dutch boy is believed to be the sole survivor out of the 104 people on board the Afriqiyah Airlines airbus from Johannesburg to Gatwick.
