Airports to remain open until 1pm tomorrow

All Irish airports will remain open until at least 1pm tomorrow, the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) said this morning.

"North Atlantic routes from Ireland have improved today, and this should ease restrictions that were in place over the past few days," the IAA said in a statement.

"Some difficulties may, however, be encountered with the Balearic islands, the Canaries, and Portugal."

A further update will be issued at 2.30pm

Passengers planning to travel by air over the coming days are advised to regularly check their airline websites and the IAA website in advance of going to the airport.
