Moriarty Tribunal costs €40m to date

The Taoiseach has told the Dáil the Moriarty Tribunal has cost almost €40m to date.

Mr Cowen added that the final costs are impossible to calculate.

The tribunal, which is investigating the awarding of the State's second mobile phone licence to the consortium led by businessman Denis O'Brien, has been ongoing for more than 12 years.
