Irish banks 'could be hit' if Greek debt crisis spreads
Irish banks could be in the firing line if the Greek debt crisis proves to be contagious, a ratings agency warned today.
In a report on the potential consequences for lenders, Moody’s Investor Service warned that firms in Ireland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the UK could face “very real, common threats” if the difficulties spread to these other debt-laden nations.
