Priest: Gerry Ryan will 'never be replaced'

Hundreds of people have turned out today to pay their final respects to TV and Radio Star Gerry Ryan.

The 53-year-old was found dead at his apartment on Leeson Street in Dublin last Friday.

Among those at today's funeral mass are Gerry's wife Morah, from whom he was seperated, his five children and his partner Melanie Verwoerd.

They have been joined by a host of familiar faces from the world of media and entertainment including Westlife and Louis Walsh.

Fr Michael Collins told those packed inside St. John the Baptist Church in Clontarf this morning that Gerry will never be replaced.
