ISPCA reports jump in calls

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has reported a massive jump in calls to its helpline.

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has reported a massive jump in calls to its helpline.

The ISPCA is appealing for public donations as calls to their phoneline have increased by 68% so far this year.

Cruelty to horses is becoming a major issue for the society with call numbers doubling between 2008 and 2009.
