Garda Ombudsman to investigate serious crash

The Garda Ombudsman Commission has confirmed it is investigating a road collision in which a man was seriously injured that involved a garda vehicle.

It is understood a marked garda car and another vehicle were in collision at Pinnock Hill in Coolock in Dublin at around 9.30pm last night.

The driver of the civilian car was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
