Quinn administrators asked to re-assess UK business ban

Administrators appointed to Quinn Insurance have been asked to urgently re-assess the ban on the company's signing up new business in the UK.

Local politicians have met the administrators today, as more than 4,000 Quinn Insurance workers took to the streets in Dublin and Cavan to voice their concern about jobs.

Local TD and Agriculture Minister Brendan Smith, who was at today's meeting, said: "The administrators are financially assessing the UK business and will report to the Financial Regulator as a matter of urgency."
