Dublin school remembers stabbed student
Local people have gathered for a rally at Hartstown Community School in west Dublin this afternoon following the death of Junior Cert student Toyosi Shittabey.
A packed assembly of emotional pupils, teachers and parents paid tribute to the 15-year-old who was fatally stabbed in Tyrellstown last Friday night.
Candles were lit in the school's lobby for the teenager - who has been described as being very popular and a promising athlete.
Meanwhile, Gardaí have appealed for calm in the community ahead of a vigil that is due to take place in Tyrellstown at 7pm this evening.
Two men - brothers Michael and Paul Barry - have been charged in connection with the death.
