Emergency crews still working to restore power

Emergency crews were still working to restore electricity to about 25,000 homes today after strong winds ripped through the country and cut supplies.

Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan were among of the worst-hit counties, with power failures also reported in Longford, the Midlands and parts of the south east.
