Gardaí to discuss work-to-rule proposal

Senior gardaí will discuss how they can engage in a work-to-rule at their annual conference in Galway today.

The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors will also call for officers attached to regional support units to be armed full-time.

The motion has been put down by officers in Cork West, Westmeath, Meath, Galway and Kildare.
