Green Party Councillor resigns from party

A Green Party Councillor has resigned from the party saying she could not stand over certain decisions made on behalf of the Greens.

A Green Party Councillor has resigned from the party saying she could not stand over certain decisions made on behalf of the Greens.

Pat Kavanagh - a member of Wicklow Town Council - has said there "had been a constant erosion of the party's values".

The resignation comes on the final day of the Green Party convention in Waterford.

Minister for Communications Eamon Ryan has said that while Councillor Kavanagh objected to Nama, she was in the minority.
