The young man who denied murdering retired Cork barman, Donal Manley, was jailed for life today after the jury found him guilty of murder.

The jury of nine women and three men took 2 hours and 36 minutes to return their unanimous verdict that Paul Murphy, (aged 25), of 57 Kilmore Road, Knocknaheeny, Cork, was guilty of murdering 62-year-old Donal Manley at his home on 68 High Street, Cork, between October 10 and October 12 2008.
