Investment in palliative care for children announced

The Irish Hospice Foundation has announced it is providing over €2m to develop a hospice home care service for children.

The money, which is being rolled out over the next five years, will result in the appointment of Ireland's first paediatric palliative care consultant and eight specialist nurses to support home care.
