Jury fails to reach verdict in Wexford rape trial

The jury in the trial of a Wexford man accused of raping his son’s girlfriend has failed to reach a verdict after two days of deliberations.

The jury of eight men and four women said they did not feel they were making progress and could not reach a majority decision after seven hours of deliberations.
