Woman dies after falling off cliff in Co Cork

A woman in her sixties has died after falling from a cliff on Bere Island in West Cork yesterday.

The woman - who has been named as Margaret Sullivan from Ballylickey - went missing yesterday afternoon.

It is understood the mother of one fell a distance of up to a hundred feet into the sea in what is being described as a freak accident.

Her body was recovered by the Castletownbere lifeboat.
