The American Embassy insisted today there is "nothing confirmed" about a visit by US President Barack Obama to Ireland.

The American Embassy insisted today there is "nothing confirmed" about a visit by US President Barack Obama to Ireland.

The comments follow newspaper reports this morning that Mr Obama would make his first visit here in late June, including a trip to his ancestors' birthplace at Moneygall in Co Offaly.
