Delegates call for better legal protection for elderly or disabled

A conference on disability and charity law is taking place in Dublin today.

Participants at the legal seminar are calling for legislation to be introduced that will protect vulnerable people like the elderly or disabled, from financial abuse.

Legal expert John Costello, is a consultant with Beauchamps Solicitors and is also vice president of the Law Society.

He is calling on the banks to play their part in putting an end to the financial abuse of the more venerable in society.
