Bug outbreak disrupts surgeries at Limerick hospital

Elective surgeries at one of the country's busiest hospitals have been cancelled due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting disease.

The HSE has confirmed that all elective in-patient admissions at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick have been cancelled for the rest of this week.
