Unions to meet Green Isle management over dispute

Trade union leaders are meeting with representatives of Green Isle foods this morning in a bid to end the six month dispute over the sacking of six workers at the Kildare plant.

Trade union leaders are meeting with representatives of Green Isle foods this morning in a bid to end the six month dispute over the sacking of six workers at the Kildare plant.

Unions want a committment from the company about a Labour Court ruling which recommended the workers be reinstated without any loss of pay.

Two workers are on hunger strike in a show of support for their colleagues.

Eamon Devoy of the TEEU has said the company has not been co-operating so far.
