Dublin City Council is considering further ways to make the capital more cycle friendly.

Councillors are looking at a proposal to introduce 'contraflow lanes' - which would allow cyclists to travel in either direction on one way streets.

Some members of the council are however urging caution, saying cyclists represent just 3% of Dublin city's commuters.
