Drivers warned to take care following heavy snowfalls

Heavy snow has hit parts of the country this evening.

Munster and south Leinster have been worst affected with dangerous road conditions in Kildare, Laois and Wicklow.

Met Eireann said there will be a sharp or severe frost overnight with temperatures set to plummet to minus four degrees in some parts.
