The Dáil has been suspended in uproar as the controversy continues over Defence Minister Willie O'Dea.

Business in the chamber and in the Seanad today has been dominated by the controversy.

Another motion of no confidence in the Defence Minister is being tabled, this time in the Seanad. Fine Gael earlier announced plans to table a similar motion in the Dáil in the coming days.

In the Dáil, opposition leaders demanded to know why Mr O'Dea had claimed gardaí told him the information he used in an interview with a Limerick Leader journalist. That claims is now being disputed by the force.

As Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny demanded answers, the Ceann Comhairle moved to suspend the chamber:
