Irish bishops to meet Pope for second day
Ireland's Catholic Bishops are beginning a second day of talks with the Pope at the Vatican to discuss their reponse to clerical and institutional abuse scandals in the Church here.
The bishops have been locked in talks at the Apostolic Palace since yesterday morning and Cardinal Sean Brady will hold a press conference after the talks conclude at lunchtime.
Yesterday, a senior Vatican official said clergy who have sinned by their acts or by turning a blind eye must admit blame for their "abominable acts".
