Evidence against Colm Murphy who is accused of a conspiracy in relation to the Omagh bomb in 1998 should not be admitted, his trial at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin heard today.

Defence Counsel, Mr Michael O’ Higgins SC, submitted there were “deficiencies” in the third extension of Mr Murphy’s detention for questioning, and that notes of a particular garda interview were rewritten.
