A middle-aged Lithuanian woman died today after being found on a road with head injuries.

A middle-aged Lithuanian woman died today after being found on a road with head injuries.

Dalia Peleckiene, 51, was discovered at 5.45am close to the entrance of Orpheus Drive in Dungannon, Co Tyrone.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the woman, who lived in the town, was taken by ambulance to Craigavon Area Hospital, where she died.

A post-mortem examination is to be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Detectives appealed for anyone who was in the area of Orpheus Drive, close to the courthouse, and saw the woman, or has any information about how she died, to come forward.
