Drivers warned about icy roads

Drivers are being warned this morning about icy road conditions in many areas.

Conditions in counties Laois, Mayo, Sligo, Louth, Offaly, Monaghan, Tipperary, Cork and Wexford are particularly bad.

Roads are also slippery in counties Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon following recent snowfall.

In Mayo, gardaí are advising motorists to drive with extra care around Westport and Castlebar due to black ice on the roads, while in Wicklow drivers should avoid the Sally Gap due to icy conditions.
