Gardaí investigate gangland-style shooting

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a gangland-style shooting in Limerick city last night.

A 25-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being shot in the head.

The incident happened at around 10.30 near Thomand Park, following Munster's Heineken Cup match with Northampton.

The injured man is said to be in a stable condition at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital.
