Limerick nurses to ramp up industrial action
Nurses at the Midwestern Regional Hospital in Limerick will today step up their industrial action in protest against overcrowding at the hospital.
Members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation and Siptu introduced a work to rule last week.
From this morning they will refuse to cooperate with additional duties, including answering telephones, pushing hospital trolleys and booking non-emergency taxis.
