The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed its liaising with the US State Department concerning the fate of an Irish-American missing in Haiti.

Father of three Andrew Greene was working at the United Nations building in Port Au-Prince which collapsed in last week's quake.

He was raised in Co Cavan but lived most of his life in Chicago.
