Conference on rape victims' experience begins today

A conference on the experience of rape victims during trials gets underway in Dublin later.

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre is calling for new legislation to allow victims have separate legal representation for the duration of court cases.

The only time they are allowed this at present is to argue against the introduction of evidence relating to their past sexual history.
