Detectives have returned to the scene of a car-bomb attack in Antrim in which a policeman was seriously injured.

Constable Peadar Heffron had his right leg amputated and remains in intensive car at a Belfast hospital following the blast on Milltown Road in Randelstown.

The PSNI say they are not ruling out a link between this attack and an incident in October when a device was placed under the car of a policeman's girlfriend in Dundonald.

Detective Chief Inspector Glenn Wright is the officer leading the investigation.
